Wondering what kind of person
would admire idiots? And it’s not one but three of them? Hehe.. Keep on reading
okay.
I don’t have much experience with
movies, but this movie captures my heart deeply since the first time I watched
it on TV3. How do I know it? I just can’t take my eyes off the screen. It was
so intriguing and I was truly curious about the movie till I stayed late at
night just to watch it till it ends. The romance, comedy, thrill and drama is
just right in its ratio! Perrrrffect! I guess you guys had watched the movie as
well. So, here are some of my reviews on this beautiful heart-rending
Bollywood’s movie, “3 IDIOTS”
The director, Rajkumar Hirani,
arranged and located the scenes with beautiful twists of plots. The plot started
with the appearance of the two of the ‘3 idiots’ and their hostel friend,
Chatur (a.k.a Silencer), Raju was awakened by Farhan’s call who had just got
off a boarding plane with a fake medical emergency. They were gathered by
Silencer as he sneakily cheated both of his competitors about the presence of
Ranchoddas Chanchad, their best friend. It was on the roof of their ex-campus
building which had a ‘Sept 5’ carve on its wall (I will later tell u about the
date, alright? So, stay on! hehe). On the roof, Silencer showed off to his
friend about his fabulous fortunes and wealthy life he owns with his wife. This
was because the 3 idiotic-called friends made a deal on a wasted night with
Chatur to see who will be more successful in the future. Bull’s eye! Yeah,
that’s the reason! Haha, and the plot continues some more with extraordinary
beautiful scenes.
I’m not gonna tell you the whole
story, I mean the “WHOLE STORY” in this entry, but I’m gonna explain you
briefly about the movie! Okay? All is well. J
Alright! Since that meeting, they
kinda reunited to search for their best friend, Rancho. Briefly, the story is
based on their journey of searching for Rancho which had been disappeared right
after the graduation day. Silencer’s information brought them to Shimla,
thought he would actually meet Rancho to prove his success there. But it’s
actually the house of the person whom Rancho borrowed his name and title, the ‘authentic’
Ranchoddas Shamaldas Chanchad. Their friend is actually a son of a farmer in a
mansion owned by a rich and well known man named Shamaldas Chanchad, the father.
Honestly, I can sense their feeling at this point. The feeling of being cheated
by our best friends for years. It’s painful but knowing how precious he is,
they were getting more curious to find him and understand him better. Starting
from Shimla, they began to discover more real informations on his background
yet still clueless about his where about and even his real name. Alas, all is
well.
As I said earlier, the director
twisted the plot well. Throughout the whole movie, we can also see the three
best friend’s lives ; university, family and also romance. They became so close
as they were roommates in the college. Among the three of them, Rancho was the
brightest one. I wish I can be like him. No seriousness in study but still
passes the tests with flying colours. Haha! But it’s true! Rancho looks like he
was playing around all the time, but it puzzled the other two as Rancho will
always be sitting next to the Director of the university, Dr. Viru
Sahastrabuddhe, which also indicates the top student in university’s ranking.
Woahh!
Okay, now let’s talk about the the Dr. Oh, I
did forget to tell you that his students mainly called him Virus! Which means a
kinda small tiny living organism that will slowly destroy the hosts in a
minute. That’s him! No doubt! Mmmmmmm,, he is actually no one but a strict and
heartless father and a teacher. He is a father to his two daughters and a late
son. Why did he die -unanswered. But his own daughter herself convinced that he
was not killed by the train, but murdered by his own father, which show
audiences how cruel he is in a way of nurturing his kids that later made them
leading a stressful and miserable life to commit a suicide in the end,
metaforatically. Back to Rancho’s college life, actually he is a sore eye to
Virus. Anything he did will be later punished severely by Virus. Simply said,
he was initially anti-Rancho. And it is his first mission to destroy Rancho’s
life and split the three up. Alas, Rancho is actually had fallen for his second
daughter, Pia. Okay, now here comes his romance life. Hehe…
Pia, who’s the fiancée to a ‘price tag’, Suhas, was
accidentally destined to bump into Rancho in her engagement ceremony. Rancho
drove her up the wall by telling her that her materialistic Suhas was no one to
deserve her, a beautiful and educated medical student. Starting from that
moment, even though they show hatred on the first sight of their meeting, but the
seeds of love started to embed in both hearts and their love started to bloom
throughout the movie. They also started to show care towards each other. She
even helped him breaking into his dad’s office to steal the test paper. Though,
their love was restricted by Virus. He prohibited her from dating Rancho. But
as Rancho always said, all is well, and there’s nothing to be worried about,
and that is how the ending went.
In the end, Pia, Raju, Farhan and Chatur managed to find
Rancho in a remote school. He became a teacher and the owner of the small
school opened for kids with creative and unique thinking just like he has.
Chatur underestimated him again, as he always did, but what he didn’t know is
that he is his biggest client in the business he ran. He is the Phunsukh Wangdu
he had been proud of all this while. The one that was about to sign a work
contract with Chatur. Haha, I was shocked too once I acknowledged the real
situation here. But serves Chatur right! He deserves that and worse!! Bhahaha!
In conclusion, 3 Idiots is still
one of the best movies I have ever watched! I hope people will also love it as
well, not for the actors, but the abundant lessons found in this dramatic and
fabulously directed masterpiece. Rajkumar Hirani deserves a big hand for making
a very delicate movie created especially for youngsters in this era. And also,
to the big stars that made the movie worked much more meaningful. ~don’t forget
that all is well~
It touches me, teaches me, inspires me, how
about you?
